One question that comes up a lot is “Swim spas look cool and everything, but what do they cost?”
Like most things…it depends.
The biggest factors are going to be size and features.
The first thing to do is decide what you want to use a swim spa for.
Swim spas are basically like a treadmill of water, but they’re not all created equal. There are different levels to the smoothness of the swim and the engineering behind it.
It looks like a box of water, but there’s a lot more to it than that!
If you’re looking for exercise, family fun, a little relaxation then you might not need the most luxurious model we carry.
If you’re serious about swimming, want the best possible swim and big into fitness, you’ll definitely want to be on the higher end. Even an Olympic swimmer will not outgrow a good swim spa.
The next thing to consider is the size. Swim spas come anywhere from 12 ft, which is great for a few people to hang out in, to 19 ft long, which is basically like having a luxury yacht in your backyard. Obviously the price is going to vary depending on what size you get.
When it comes right down to it, swim spas range anywhere from $20-50k, with financing anywhere from $200-500 per month.
Compared to a hot tub, it’s a LOT. Compared to a pool? It’s a bargain, PLUS you can use it year round.
